A hundred years of celebrations. Room in the story for yours too.

Celebrations

One venue for every gathering.

Milestone birthdays, anniversaries, family reunions, retirement parties, and holiday gatherings all find a home inside the same restored 1887 landmark, dressed up or kept simple, exactly how you want it.

Milestone Birthdays

A birthday that feels like an event

From a 40th to a 90th, mark the occasion in the Rose Garden or the Fountain Plaza, with a century of character built in and no extra decorating required.

Anniversaries & Reunions

Bring everyone back together

Gather family and old friends somewhere that feels like an occasion the moment they walk in, with room to mingle indoors and out.

Holiday & Retirement Parties

A setting worth celebrating in

Close out the year, or a career, with a party that matches the moment, in a downtown landmark your guests will remember.

Since 1887

A backdrop with a past as rich as the occasion.

Built in 1887 as the Crescent Bath House, a celebrated mineral-springs health resort, and later listed on the National Register of Historic Places, The Crescent House is one of Lake Elsinore's original buildings. For more than a century it has been a place where the community gathered to celebrate. Your event becomes the newest chapter in a story the whole city knows.

Hosts choose The Chimes because it offers something a rented venue never can: genuine history, one-of-a-kind architecture, and a sense of occasion the moment guests walk through the doors.

Social event questions

Milestone birthdays, anniversaries, family reunions, quinceañeras, retirement parties, baby and bridal showers, and holiday gatherings. If it is worth celebrating, The Chimes can likely host it. The building carries a mix of indoor rooms and outdoor spaces, so a small dinner in The Parlor Room and a three hundred guest party in the Rose Garden both work here. Tell us the occasion, your date, and roughly how many people you expect when you inquire, and we will suggest the space that fits and what setup it needs.

We book celebrations of up to about 300 guests across the property, with the Rose Garden, the Fountain Plaza courtyard, The Library Speakeasy, and the Victorian parlors all in use through the evening. What each space takes depends on your layout, because a seated dinner with a dance floor needs more room than a standing party. Share your guest count when you inquire, along with whether you want everyone seated, and we will confirm the space, the setup, and the final count for your date.

Yes, and it is one of our favorite celebrations to host. The Rose Garden works for the ceremony and the formal photographs, Fountain Plaza handles dinner and dancing, and The Chimes VIP Room upstairs is where the guest of honor and her court get ready before the entrance. One thing to raise early: there is no elevator, so the second floor is stairs only. If anyone in the family needs step-free access, tell us when you inquire. See the quinceañera section above for what a full evening here looks like, or mention it directly when you send your date.

Yes, the space is flexible. Catering runs through our preferred vendor list, which we share when you inquire, and decorations are welcome within the care a historic building asks for. For the bar, you may bring your own licensed bar vendor with a valid ABC permit, liability insurance, and certified bartenders presented in advance, and cocktail service happens in The Library Speakeasy. Send us your decoration plan and vendor list when you book, and we will confirm what works against the original surfaces before you buy anything.

Yes. There is parking throughout the historic downtown district, most of it a short walk from the entrance, and the same streets are walkable to dining before or after your event. A private reserved lot directly across the street is being built now and will open soon, which will bring guest parking to within a few steps of the door. Until it opens, plan on the downtown district. Tell us your expected guest count when you inquire and we will be straight with you about what to expect on the day.

Our Grand Opening Special holds your date with just a 25% deposit. The balance splits into two payments, with the final payment due 30 days before your event, and we include one free date change up to 90 days out. The deposit is non-refundable, and the final payment is non-refundable within 30 days of the event. The order is simple: send your date and guest count through the form, walk the building on a tour, then choose your setup and place the deposit. We reply within one to two business days.

A few, and they are easier to plan around if you know them early. Open flame is not permitted anywhere on the property except the Rose Garden, where candles are welcome; sparklers are not allowed anywhere, including the Rose Garden. Flower petals are fine outdoors, but rice and confetti are not permitted. Anything you hang has to come down without leaving a mark, so nothing may be nailed, drilled, or glued to the building. Setup access begins an hour before your event and nothing may be left on the property overnight. Music and other loud noise end at 10 PM. Smoking is permitted only in designated outdoor areas, never inside the building. Service animals are welcome throughout the property; pets and emotional support animals are not. Event insurance is required, and we will tell you the coverage to arrange and who to name on it when you book, in good time before your date. Security for your event is set out in your rental agreement, where the full policies live.

Accessibility. The Crescent House was built in 1887 and the building reflects that. The Graham Avenue entrance has steps, with a ramp to one side that also reaches the front door. There is a step-free way in at the rear as well, from the parking on site. There is no elevator, so the second floor is reached by stairs. If step-free access matters for your visit, please call us before you book so we can go over the entrances and rooms with you.
