The Rose Garden
Say your vows on the lawn, framed by palms and by the verandas of the 1887 building. It is the largest space on the property.
Some venues are rented. This one is remembered. Exchange your vows in the heart of downtown Lake Elsinore, where Moorish arches, a rose garden, and a brick courtyard give your day a setting no hotel ballroom can match.
A backdrop with a hundred years of stories, and room for one more.
Ceremony in the Rose Garden, cocktails in The Library Speakeasy, dinner in the Fountain Plaza, and getting ready in The Chimes VIP Room. Four spaces on one property, so your guests never leave.

Say your vows on the lawn, framed by palms and by the verandas of the 1887 building. It is the largest space on the property.

A separate brick courtyard with its own fountain, set beneath the ornate verandas. It is the natural home for dinner under the open sky.

The bridal suite upstairs, with its antique furnishings, chandelier, and original stained glass, is where the wedding party gets ready on the morning of. Your own private corner of the landmark in the hours before the aisle.

Built in 1887 as the Crescent Bath House, a celebrated mineral-springs health resort, and later listed on the National Register of Historic Places, The Crescent House is one of Lake Elsinore's original buildings. For more than a century it has been a place where the community gathered to celebrate. Your wedding becomes the newest chapter in a story the whole city knows.
Couples choose The Chimes because it offers something a brand-new venue never can: genuine history, one-of-a-kind architecture, and a sense of occasion the moment guests walk through the doors.
The perfect historic venue in Lake Elsinore for any size celebration. Every package includes five hours of event time, plus an hour beforehand to set up, and each one can be tailored to your guest count, timeline, and vision.
Each package reserves the indoor and outdoor spaces your celebration will use, rather than the building in full. Starting prices vary with the date, the guest count, and the details you choose. Planning a quinceañera, birthday, or shower? Each has its own packages on our Social Events page.
Arches, verandas, and historic detail at every turn mean stunning photos without a single rented backdrop.
Ceremony, cocktails, and reception under one roof keep your timeline simple and your guests close.
There is only one 1887 Crescent Bath House. Your wedding will not look like anyone else's.
A short walk to downtown dining, with parking across the district for your guests and a private reserved lot across the street coming soon.

Yes. The Chimes is set up to host your ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all on site, so nobody drives between venues in the middle of your day. Ceremonies are usually held in the Rose Garden, cocktail hour in The Library Speakeasy, and dinner and dancing in the Fountain Plaza under the open sky. The Chimes VIP Room upstairs is where the wedding party gets ready. Every package includes five hours of event time, plus an hour beforehand to set up. Breakdown and clean-up happen within your five hours.
We book weddings of up to about 300 guests across the property, with the Rose Garden, the Fountain Plaza courtyard, The Library Speakeasy, and the Victorian parlors all in use through the evening. What each space takes depends on your layout, because a seated dinner with a dance floor takes more room than a standing reception, and most weddings here use more than one space across the evening. Share your guest count when you inquire and we will confirm the combination, the setup, and the final count for your date.
Yes. The Chimes VIP Room upstairs is reserved for the wedding party on the morning of, with antique furnishings, a chandelier, and stained glass, so the getting-ready photographs are worth keeping. It is included in the Grand and Extravaganza packages, and the Extravaganza adds an extra hour beforehand purely for photographs. One thing worth raising early: there is no elevator, so the VIP Room is reached by stairs. If anyone in your party needs step-free access, tell us when you inquire and we will talk it through before you book.
Catering runs through our preferred vendor list, which we share when you inquire, so you are choosing from people who already know the building and how it works. For the bar, you may bring your own licensed bar vendor. Every bar vendor must present a valid ABC permit, liability insurance, and certified bartenders in advance, and cocktail service happens in The Library Speakeasy. Because the building is historic, some outside rentals may need to bring their own power source, so tell us what you are planning to bring and we will flag anything that needs arranging.
Yes. There is parking throughout the historic downtown district, most of it a short walk from the entrance, and the same downtown streets are walkable to dining before or after, which matters if guests are traveling in for the day. A private reserved lot directly across the street is being built now and will open soon, which will put guest parking a few steps from the door rather than a walk in formalwear. Tell us your expected guest count when you inquire and we will tell you honestly what to expect.
Our Grand Opening Special holds your date with just a 25% deposit. The balance splits into two easy payments, with the final payment due 30 days before your wedding, and we include one free date change up to 90 days out. The deposit is non-refundable, and the final payment is non-refundable within 30 days of the event. The order is simple: send your date and guest count through the form, walk the building on a tour, then choose your package and place the deposit. We reply within one to two business days.
A few, and they are easier to plan around if you know them early. Open flame is not permitted anywhere on the property except the Rose Garden, where candles are welcome; sparklers are not allowed anywhere, including the Rose Garden. Flower petals are fine outdoors, but rice and confetti are not permitted. Anything you hang has to come down without leaving a mark, so nothing may be nailed, drilled, or glued to the building. Setup access begins an hour before your event and nothing may be left on the property overnight. Music and other loud noise end at 10 PM. Smoking is permitted only in designated outdoor areas, never inside the building. Service animals are welcome throughout the property; pets and emotional support animals are not. Event insurance is required, and we will tell you the coverage to arrange and who to name on it when you book, in good time before your date. Security for your event is set out in your rental agreement, where the full policies live.
Tell us when you're dreaming of, and we'll be in touch to start planning a wedding your guests will remember for years.

Accessibility. The Crescent House was built in 1887 and the building reflects that. The Graham Avenue entrance has steps, with a ramp to one side that also reaches the front door. There is a step-free way in at the rear as well, from the parking on site. There is no elevator, so the second floor is reached by stairs. If step-free access matters for your visit, please call us before you book so we can go over the entrances and rooms with you.
